Sneak Peak: Berroco Circus

One of Berroco's new yarns for spring was SO fun we had to take delivery of it early. As is always the case with Berroco yarns, there will be great pattern support for Circus, but the new books aren't quite ready yet.
That's okay, because this yarn is so fun, it's easy to find things to do with it! First of all, it totally appeals to the younger generation with its thick and thin textural appeal and it's bubbly fun colors. And of course, the fact that it's machine washable doesn't hurt, since you know how the folks in that age group need easy care clothing. Any bulky sweater pattern would look amazing in this yarn, and hats and scarves are obvious projects. With 58% superwash wool, these items will be fashionable AND warm.

But I'm thinking, wouldn't this make the most delicious baby blanket? Mix a strand of the Berroco Circus with a strand of the Peter Pan Tinkerbell (both machine washable yarns), and you will have the most colorful, soft & cuddly blanket imaginable! I know a lot of people who are expecting wee ones in early 2012, and this would be such a quick knit.

Check out these amazing color combinations... I think these yarns were made for each other!
We'll be making one of these up for the shop, but it you are adventurous, we're thinking a size 15 needle, 3 balls of Circus and 4 balls of Tinkerbell.
