We're already working on our new spring models and this year we're really organized about it. It's always so hard to choose which sweaters to knit for the shop. This year we're doing a nice mix of long and short sleeved cardigans, vests, tanks, shawls and a pretty camisole. We always make new kids sweaters, and hats, mittens and other small accessories. But the sweaters take a lot of thought, and a lot of knitting. If only there were more hours in a day!
I've been working on two sweaters. I started the Encinitas cardigan in the beginning of February but got really sidetracked when the Natural Silk Aran arrived. I started (and will finish tonight) the Urchin sweater out of the new Rowan Classic Beach pattern book. It is so cute, and was a really quick knit.
Barb is working on a great striped vest out of Jaeger Roma. She absolutely loves the yarn - some of her adjectives to describe it are: crisp, cushy, springy and soft. And no splitting! She's hoping to finish by this weekend, and then will move on to finishing the Gypsy Shawl with Koigu.
We just blew out most of our remaining Koigu colors, as we are expecting 37 new colors within the next couple of weeks. It's always a great day when new Koigu colors arrive!
